since you asked…

The basic details…

God’s promise to Abraham that he was blessed to be a blessing to the nations has been my guiding compass since first coming to Christ from a Jewish household. Carol and I moved to England after completing my studies at Fuller Seminary to lead a team focused on church and leadership renewal and expressing the Gospel through the creative arts. We moved back to the States where I pastored Mount Soledad Presbyterian Church for 21 years before my appointment to pastor Faith Community Foursquare Church in San Diego in 2005. I was asked to join the Western District Team in January 2020.

I am currently serving as Associate District Supervisor for the Western District of the Foursquare Church.

My passion…

Since I first surrendered my life to Jesus — this has happened too many times to count! — I have had a yearning to see the tangible presence of God’s Kingdom presence multiplied through God’s unconditional grace expressed through leaders released to bless, serve, and influence lives towards Jesus through campus ministries, purposeful presence in the marketplace, planting churches, and local/global ministry startups. Kingdom saturation, influence, and multiplication remain my top priorities.

Personal trivia & a few more details…

Prior to becoming a pastor, in my formative years, I appeared on the Mickey Mouse Club, was raised with Rin Tin Tin and learned to play guitar from Stephen Stills, Jackson Browne and James Taylor…

I am married to Carol (45 years as summer 2023) and am blessed with 4 daughters — Alison (married to Chris), Catherine (married to Jeremiah), Bethany, Danielle, twin grandchildren, and Murphy — my canine confident and friend! Music, sport, reading, photography, aquariums (currently down), movies, travel, and friends around the globe make life undeservingly beautiful and bountiful.
